Un percorso che si snoda sulle Dolomiti, dichiarate un anno fa patrimonio dell’umanità dall’UNESCO, ha fatto il resto per uno spettacolo meraviglioso. La nazione maggiormente rappresentata dopo l’Italia è stata la Germania con 263 bikers e a seguire Austria, Belgio, Svizzera, Olanda, Repubblica Ceca, Slovenia e Spagna.
Molto soddisfatto il presidente del comitato organizzatore Kurt Ploner che ha ringraziato per la preziosa collaborazione ottenuta dai cinque Comuni dell’Alta Val Pusteria Villabassa, Braies, Dobbiaco, Sesto e San Candido che contribuiscono con un gran numero di volontari.
Ecco come è andata sul fronte agonistico. Il percorso breve di 56,9 km (1688 m di dislivello) è stato appannaggio dell’altoatesino Klaus Fontana di Valdaora che ha tagliato per primo il traguardo dopo 2H13'8". Andreas Laner, vincitore della scorsa edizione, è arrivato secondo al traguardo con un ritardo di 2'44". Sul terzo gradino il giovane Lukas Platzgummer di Naturno con 2H18'04".
Nella categoria femminile ha trionfato l'austriaca di Graz Theresia Kellermayr (in 2H46'34"). La campionessa italiana in carica Marika Covre della provincia di Treviso è arrivata seconda dopo un testa a testa con la Kellermayr, con 20 secondi di ritardo, mentre Valentina Danese di Vipiteno ha chiuso al terzo posto.
Il percorso lungo di 119,9 km con 3.822 dislivello ha visto una doppia vittoria svizzera grazie ad Urs Huber con 4H50'06" davanti a Mirko Celestino, secondo, che batte Mike Felderer originario della Val Sarentino. Anche in campo femminile ha trionfato una biker svizzera: Erika Dicht ha preceduto con un tempo di 5H44'6" la finlandese Pia Sunstedt e l’inglese Sally Bigham arrivata al terzo posto.
EVENTS ENERVIT - Amazing Dolomiti Superbike
Another great success for the 16th edition of the Südtirol Dolomiti Superbike Villabassa starting from the number of cyclists participating: 3,648 from 33 nations, thousands of fans and a wonderful sun characterized the town of Alta Pusteria during the all three days .
A trail that winds through the Dolomites, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO last year, did the rest for a wonderful show. The most represented country after Italy was Germany with 263 bikers and follow Austria, Belgium, Switzerland, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Slovenia and Spain.
The president of the organizing committee, Kurt Ploner, was very satisfied thanking for their cooperation the five towns in Alta Pusteria, Villabassa, Braies, Dobbiaco, Sesto e San Candido, who contributed with a large number of volunteers.
