Last August, 10th Deborah Battagin won the World Championship Rowing U-23 also through the Zone diet

Deborah Battagin, rowing athlete from Varese, won the World Championship Rowing U-23 on the fourth pair of lightweights in Brest. The athlete of Travedona Monate (Varese), 20 years on 29 August, with the Zone diet Deborah was able to enter the category of lightweight where it is getting big hits. She is a student in biological sciences at the University of Varese.

Deborah Battagin - strong and determined athlete - won because she change food strategy, this can mean a breakthrough in racing career of an athlete. His typical day includes two workouts a day (7.30 and 17.30) for a total of 5 hours of vigorous activity a day. The rest is devoted to the study. But the real secret of his tremendous success this year is about... weight.

"Last year I had not the chance to participate in international competitions - tells us Battagin - early winter I decided to enter the category "lightweight" and that was the turning point. To enter the weight I had to change eating habits. Decisively. This was achieved thanks to the Zone diet: I went to my classic 64 kg to 57 kg today, a "measure" that allowed me to compete with athletes of my "size". Thanks to my nutritionist, Dr. Serena Martegani - Zone Consultant and sports doctor - I realized that this was the right way to be competitive and that I should follow this diet strictly and decrease gradually carbohydrates. This is just my secret. And I must say that I am very satisfied".
