Enervit G Sport Drink is made of instantly soluble granules, which are used to prepare a drink solution containing carbohydrates (mostly fructose), electrolytes, mineral salts (for cramp prevention) and vitamins. Consuming this drink during intense sporting activity helps to maintain endurance performance levels and enhance water absorption.
In our warm South African climate it is essential for endurance athletes to know about fluid-salt supplementation. During an intense workout that lasts around 30minutes, one of the most important ways to help your body perform at it’s peak is to provide it with the correct fluid-salt supplementation, however this is often neglected. It has been shown that a fluid loss of just 2% of body weight (1 1/2kg in a person weighing 75kg) can significantly reduce performance levels.
Enervit G-Sport Drink is:
Gastric evacuation is dependent on the mix of your carbohydrates (fructose and maltodextrin ) to water ratio. Optimal intestinal absorbtion occurs when the drink solutes are less than (hypotonic) or equal to (isotonic) the solutes in the blood. Where the solutes are higher (hypertonic) the availability of energy from the carbohydrates is drastically slowed down.
